What should a clinic actually post on social media?
Most clinic social feeds are wallpaper. Here is a posting approach that builds trust with the patients your treatments actually need.

Most clinic Instagram accounts look the same: a stock photo of a smile, a bank holiday greeting, an occasional offer. Nobody engages, so posting slides down the priority list, and the account quietly becomes proof that the clinic is not busy enough to care.
The problem is not effort. It is that the content answers no question a patient actually has.
Think like a nervous patient
Nobody books an implant, an aligner course or a first physio session casually. Patients research quietly for weeks. They are not looking for cleverness, they are looking for reassurance on three questions:
- Do these people know what they are doing?
- What will actually happen to me?
- Will I feel comfortable there?
Every post should serve one of those questions. If it serves none of them, it is wallpaper.
Content that does the job
- Walkthroughs. What happens at a consultation, step by step, filmed simply on a phone. This is the single most reassuring content a clinic can make.
- The clinician talking. Thirty seconds answering one common question, in plain language. Patients book people, not logos.
- The room itself. Clean, calm shots of where treatment happens. Familiarity removes fear.
- Real outcomes, told carefully. Follow the advertising rules for your treatment area, get written consent, and let the patient's words carry the story rather than dramatic claims.
- Team moments. Birthdays, new starters, training days. This is question three again, and it compounds.
Consistency beats brilliance
A clinic posting twice a week, every week, in this format will out-earn a clinic posting brilliantly once a month. The feed is not trying to go viral. It is trying to be a waiting room the patient can visit before they commit.
That is also why this content works so well alongside paid campaigns: when an ad brings a new patient to your profile, the feed either finishes the job or undoes it.
The bigger machine
Social content fills the top of the system. It still needs somewhere to send people: a page built for the treatment, a fast response when the enquiry lands, and follow-up that does not let a nervous patient drift. That whole machine is what we build for clinics, and you can see how the pieces fit on the clinics page.
